Placing Your Order Orders may be placed online using the shopping cart or phoned or faxed in. If you encounter any difficulties using the cart, please contact us and we'll be glad to assist.
You don't have to create an account to purchase through our on-line shopping cart, however registering gives you access to past and current orders made on-line, and order tracking.
If you prefer not to give your online, please choose "Phone Order" as your method of payment at time of check out, submit your order via the website and then call (503) 775-3420 to speak to a real person.
Order Turnaround:
We try to process and ship orders within 2 business days.
Shipping:
We ship by UPS Ground within the continental US. Shipping rates are calculated real-time on-line when your order is placed, based on the weight and size of your order. All pails shipped by UPS incur a $7.50 special handling charge.
We have made every effort to ensure that our shipping weights and calculations are accurate, however we reserve the right to charge the actual shipping cost should it be higher and we will refund any substantial overcharges in the shopping cart if they occur.
We don't ship COD or UPS collect.
If you supply us with an incorrect address/zip code, we will charge you the extra shipping charges that occur for correcting the address or intercepting the package; you agree to this additional charge to your credit card. UPS charges $10.50 for delivery intercepts/address corrections -- please make sure your address is correct!
Alaska, Hawaii and International Orders:
At this time we do not accept international orders or orders for shipment to Alaska and Hawaii on-line. If you would like to place an order to be delivered outside the continental US, please select "Call for Shipping Cost" and then call us for the shipping amount or place the order by phone.
Cancellations:
Orders cancelled after the credit card has been processed, but before they are packed and shipped, will incur a 10% fee. (which covers our time and the credit card fees). Orders cancelled after they are shipped but before they are received (or items that are refused) will incur a 20% restocking fee plus the cost of return shipping.
Returns:
Raw materials and ingredients may not be returned because once they leave our facility we can no longer guarantee the purity of the products for our customers. In the unlikely event of a container leaking, leaked contents will be replaced or a credit issued at our discretion. A 20% restocking fee will be charged on all returned items. Shipping charges are not refundable.
Disclaimer:
We do our best to offer the highest quality ingredients available. We cannot guarantee that any ingredient will be consistent in appearance, color or typical odor from one batch to another, as this may be within the manufacturer's tolerance for a particular product. We also cannot guarantee that a particular ingredient will work in your particular application; it is your responsibility to test each ingredient in your product(s) to ensure that it will work for you.
In the event of loss or damage, Shay and Company, Inc. will only be liable for the actual cost and or replacement of the merchandise.
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
